Xinhua News Agency, London, September 18 (Special Report) — A recent survey by the UK National Literacy Trust reveals a strong correlation between literacy levels and personal happiness.According to the BBC, the foundation's findings indicate that 78% of highly literate adult men report being happy and fulfilled, compared to only half of less literate men. Among adult women, 70% of highly literate women marry before age 34, versus 60% of less literate women.The study also found that 78% of highly literate individuals owned their own homes, compared to only 42% of those with low literacy. The research concluded that the key to securing happiness lies in improving one's reading ability. The findings state: "Enhancing reading skills can guarantee lifelong happiness."
