In today's society, minimally invasive cosmetic procedures have become globally popular, accessible to nearly everyone regardless of age or gender. However, many netizens worry: Can those with sensitive skin undergo hyaluronic acid or botulinum toxin injections? Director Hu Kuikui from the Plastic Surgery and Aesthetics Center at Guangdong Provincial Maternal and Child Health Hospital states that anyone not allergic to hyaluronic acid or botulinum toxin can undergo these minimally invasive treatments.
Sensitive Skin Can Also Undergo Minimally Invasive Procedures
"The human body naturally contains hyaluronic acid, so most people do not experience allergic reactions to it," Director Hu Kui Kui explains. Even those with sensitive skin can undergo facial procedures like hydration injections, nose augmentation, or chin enhancement using hyaluronic acid.
Furthermore, laser treatments are also suitable for sensitive skin. "For instance, laser treatments for redness reduction or spot removal."It selectively targets and destroys melanin-producing cells without causing other damage to the skin," Director Hu Kui Kui explained. Some treatments, like fractional laser resurfacing, can even improve skin texture, making it finer and smoother. Therefore, Director Hu Kui Kui reassured that individuals with sensitive skin need not worry. With proper post-laser care—including sun protection and moisturization—they can still achieve skin texture improvements and resolve certain skin concerns.
