The saying "fair skin hides all flaws" holds true for many women seeking complexion brightening. So how can diet effectively enhance skin radiance? Here’s how to eat for brighter skin:
1. Red Bean Soup
Ingredients:
3000g adzuki beans, 200g white sugar.
Rinse the red beans, add water, bring to a boil over high heat, then simmer until tender. Add sugar, bring to a boil again, and it's ready.
2. Sugarcane Papaya Pig's Feet Soup
Ingredients:
Sugarcane, papaya, pig's feet, goji berries, water chestnuts, ginger slices, salt.
Cut pork trotters into chunks and blanch. Peel and cut sugarcane into sections, halve water chestnuts, slice ginger, and dice papaya. Bring water to a boil in a pot, add pork trotters, bring back to a boil, then reduce heat. Add ginger slices and simmer for 40 minutes.Add sugarcane and water chestnuts, simmer for another 10 minutes. Stir in papaya and goji berries, season with a pinch of salt to taste.
3. Milk Custard Pudding
Ingredients:
200ml milk, 2 eggs, sugar to taste.
Crack eggs, separate whites, and combine with milk and sugar in a bowl. Mix well, then steam over boiling water until set to make a sweet egg custard.
Wash cucumber, peel, remove seeds, and slice thinly. Rinse rice thoroughly. Wash ginger and crush. Add approximately 1000ml water to pot over heat. Add rice and ginger. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce to low heat. Simmer until rice is tender. Add cucumber slices and continue cooking until porridge thickens. Season with salt to taste.
5. Honey Red Date Tea
Ingredients:
150g dried red dates, 50g rock sugar (or brown sugar), 200ml honey, 350ml water.
Rinse the dried red dates, cut them open, and remove the pits. Place the pitted dates and rock sugar in a pot, add water, bring to a boil over high heat, cover, then reduce to low heat and simmer until the liquid has evaporated.
Use a whisk to mash the dates into a paste. Continue cooking until the mixture becomes very thick and sticky. Transfer the paste to a container, let it cool, then stir in honey until well combined. Seal and refrigerate. To serve, mix a portion of the honey-date paste with warm water.
6. Lily Bulb and Job's Tears Porridge
Ingredients:
50g Job's tears, 15g lily bulbs, honey to taste.
Rinse Job's tears and lily bulbs. Place in a pot with sufficient water. Simmer until Job's tears are tender. Stir in honey to combine. Serve immediately.
