Shu Qi's face is relatively square and slender, without exaggerated, plump apple cheeks. The distance between her eyebrows and eyes is fairly wide, with a flat, masculine brow shape. Her eyebrows are clean and well-defined, featuring beautiful hair flow. Shu Qi's lips are quite distinctive, with a full upper lip. When smiling without showing teeth, the contour of her upper lip is relatively flat. Combined with her elegant and dignified demeanor, this creates a highly recognizable look.
Shu Qi's Makeup Steps
Step 1: Outline Shu Qi's lip shape with a lip liner, then layer lipstick. Add subtle shading above and below the lips to enhance fullness. Products used: Etude House Lip Liner #5 and YSL Rouge Volupté Shine #5.
Step 2: Since Shu Qi's eyebrows are set relatively wide apart, pluck any stray hairs to match her natural brow shape.
Step 3: Use a gray eyebrow pencil to sketch the desired brow shape, keeping the inner corners soft and lightly colored. If lines appear uneven, touch up with concealer later. Here, we used Etude House's Dual-Ended Twist-Up Eyebrow Pencil.
Step 4: Use a black liquid eyeliner to draw hair-like strokes, enhancing the eyebrow's direction. Focus on the middle and tail sections, keeping the upper edge soft and the lower edge defined.
Step 5: Clean up the area below the middle-tail section and the outer edge of the tail with concealer. Also touch up the brow head and upper edge, but keep it softer. Then apply a brow gel.
Step 6: After applying eye primer, sweep coral-orange eyeshadow broadly across both lids. Apply dirty orange shade into the crease and along the lower lash line. Use brown to deepen the double eyelid crease and line the lower lash line close to the lashes.
Step 7: Apply eyeliner along both the upper and lower lash lines. Apply thinly along the inner quarter of the upper lash line, slightly thicker along the inner third, then extend naturally outward with a slight upward flick. Use cream liner first, followed by liquid liner. Apply a small amount of cream liner to the inner corner of the lower lash line and blend out.
Step 8: Curl lashes before applying mascara. Use a zigzag motion at the roots two or three times, then gently sweep upward through the tips. Apply more product to the inner upper lashes and less to the lower lashes. Use an eyelash curler to define the lash line and create a clean, separated look.
Step 9: Highlight the center of the tear trough, inner corners, upper eyelids, and just below the brow bones using COLOURPOP Highlighter #HIPPO.
