This can lead to early ovulation, double ovulation, delayed ovulation, or even temporary anovulation.Relying solely on menstrual cycle calculations may sometimes fail to pinpoint the ovulation date. Women of childbearing age can determine their ovulation period by measuring basal body temperature. Intercourse during this time offers the highest chance of conception.
Beyond monitoring basal body temperature, other methods can help women identify their ovulation window. Observing cervical mucus is one such method: thin mucus may indicate no ovulation has occurred. Longer, stretchy mucus with elasticity suggests ovulation has begun. After ovulation, mucus typically becomes thicker and more viscous. If no such signs appear, it may be wise to consider potential health issues.
