What are the symptoms of male kidney deficiency?
[Symptoms] Cold Intolerance and Limb Chills
"Cold intolerance" refers to a pronounced aversion to cold and wind. "Limb chills" describe cold extremities—hands and feet—extending even to the elbows and knees. These symptoms often accompany kidney deficiency manifestations like lower back and knee soreness, fatigue, lethargy, low energy, and a bland taste in the mouth without thirst.
【Symptoms】Dizziness, weakness, insomnia, and vivid dreams
As one of the body's vital organs, the kidneys nourish and warm other internal organs. If other organs suffer from prolonged illness, the kidneys can easily become damaged.Patients with chronic conditions such as chronic hepatitis, coronary heart disease, bronchial asthma, and hypertension often exhibit kidney deficiency symptoms. To fundamentally cure kidney deficiency, it is essential to treat the underlying diseases of other organs. Otherwise, any intervention will merely address symptoms without resolving the root cause.
【Symptom】Asthma
The kidneys possess the function of "receiving qi." When kidney deficiency prevents this function, it leads to wheezing and shortness of breath, characterized by more exhalation than inhalation, making breathing feel constricted. In severe cases, wheezing may be accompanied by worsening breathlessness and profuse cold sweats.
【Symptom】Lower Back Pain
The root cause of lower back pain lies in kidney deficiency, which can be categorized into internal injury and overuse.Innate kidney deficiency typically stems from congenital weakness, prolonged illness, or excessive fatigue. Mild cases may cause difficulty bending or standing upright, while severe cases present heel pain and lumbar weakness. Overuse damage arises from excessive physical strain or prolonged work in fixed postures (e.g., computer use, driving), which gradually depletes kidney qi and leads to insufficient kidney essence.
How to Nourish Kidney Qi?
1. Daily Foot Sole Rubbing
Rub palms together until warm. Use left hand to rub right foot sole, then right hand to rub left foot sole. Alternate sides. Perform once in the morning and once in the evening, rubbing 300 times each session.
2. Perform a daily set of simple exercises:
1. Stand with feet parallel and shoulder-width apart, gaze straight ahead, arms relaxed at sides with palms against the seams of your pants, fingers naturally spread. Lift your heels and take 9 consecutive breaths.
2. Lower heels to the ground while inhaling. Slowly bend knees into a squat, gradually rotating palms forward so the web between thumb and index finger faces ankles. As hands approach the floor, clench into fists with slight force (as if grasping an object), inhaling fully.
3. Hold your breath as you gradually rise to standing position. Let arms hang down, gradually tightening fists.
4. Exhale while standing upright. Twist arms outward with palms facing forward. Press elbows into sides to squeeze the soft ribs. Simultaneously lift body and heels while contracting the anal sphincter. Breathe.
III. Daily Anal Sphincter Contraction Exercises
Relax the entire body and breathe naturally. During exhalation, contract the anal sphincter; during inhalation, relax. Repeat approximately 30 times.
IV. Daily Waist Massage
Rub both palms together until warm. Place them on either side of the waist, palms facing the skin. Massage the waist up and down until warmth is felt.Perform once in the morning and once in the evening, approximately 200 strokes each time.
V. Daily Tai Chi Practice
Practice Tai Chi, ideally in the early morning in a park with fresh air, under trees, or near water.
