The primary component of lipolysis injections is phosphatidylcholine, extracted from soybeans and a constituent of cell membranes. Additional ingredients include insulin-like growth factor, which regulates cell growth, differentiation, and DNA synthesis, along with L-carnitine. In contrast, facial slimming injections primarily contain botulinum toxin.
2. Different Indications
Fat-dissolving injections primarily target localized facial fat, such as double chins or under-eye bags, or localized fat deposits on other body areas. They are not suitable for overall body fat reduction. Facial slimming injections mainly address enlarged masseter muscles and have limited effect on facial fat.Different Effects
Fat-dissolving injections offer relatively stable results. They penetrate deep into the subcutaneous fat layer, fundamentally breaking down and expelling fat from the body. Facial slimming injections, however, have limited effects that typically last about six months. As metabolism occurs, the injected substance loses its effectiveness entirely, and the face returns to its previous state.
4. Different Side Effects
The slimming function of botulinum toxin has undergone multiple safety verifications and generally has few side effects, making it a relatively safe and effective method for facial slimming. While lipolysis injections demonstrate promising results for fat reduction and weight loss, experts caution that their use in cosmetic procedures carries unknown risks regarding side effect management. Beyond potential adverse reactions, it remains unclear whether these injections actually break down fat cells or merely liquefy fat, allowing it to circulate throughout the body—a process that may exacerbate heart conditions.
