1. Water Spinach Porridge:
100g fresh water spinach, 50g rice. Wash and finely chop the water spinach. Rinse the rice, place in a pot with sufficient water, and cook into porridge. When nearly done, stir in the water spinach and boil for another 1-2 minutes before serving.Take one serving daily for 3–5 consecutive days. This recipe clears heat, moistens the intestines, cools the blood, and detoxifies. It is suitable for constipation caused by intestinal heat accumulation, painful urination, bloody diarrhea, and boils or abscesses.Select and clean the Prunus mume seeds, crush them, place in a pot, add an appropriate amount of water, soak for 5-10 minutes, then decoct to extract the liquid. Add rice and cook into a thin porridge. Take one dose daily for 2-3 consecutive days. This porridge moistens the intestines, promotes bowel movements, drains water, and reduces swelling. It is suitable for dry, difficult stools, difficult urination, edema and distension (ascites from liver cirrhosis), and limb edema.
3. Sesame Seed Porridge:
20g sesame seeds, 100g rice, sugar to taste. Sort and clean sesame seeds. Place in a pot with sufficient water, soak for 5–10 minutes, then decoct to extract liquid. Add rice and cook into porridge. When nearly done, stir in sugar and boil once or twice more.
Take one serving daily for 3–5 consecutive days. This porridge moistens the intestines, promotes bowel movements, nourishes, and replenishes deficiencies. Suitable for constipation, abdominal distension, and nausea caused by pathogenic heat injuring yin, or constitutional excess fire leading to fluid depletion and intestinal dryness.
