Going out with wet hair traps airborne dust on your scalp, clogging pores and potentially causing hair loss. After washing, use a hairdryer on low heat to dry your scalp, then let strands air-dry naturally. This prevents bacterial growth on the scalp and avoids heat damage to hair.
Water temperature below 40°C
Excessively hot water damages hair quality. Rinse hair with lukewarm water under 40°C, then massage the scalp with a mixture of olive oil and lemon juice for a few minutes. Rinse thoroughly after 15 minutes.
Apply conditioner only from the ears down
To achieve smoother hair, many apply conditioner throughout the entire head, but this can damage the scalp. If not rinsed thoroughly, conditioner can clog scalp pores, leading to hair loss. Therefore, apply conditioner starting from the hair near the ears and work toward the ends. If it accidentally touches the scalp, be sure to rinse it off completely.
Increase intake of meat, eggs, and dairy
Hair is primarily composed of protein. Consuming adequate amounts of high-quality protein sources like meat, fish, eggs, dairy, and beans is beneficial. Ensure a balanced mix of animal and plant-based proteins while controlling fat intake to support healthy hair growth.
Minimize styling products
Many hairsprays and styling products contain high alcohol content. Long-term use can strip hair of moisture, leading to dryness. Reduce usage during spring.
