During early pregnancy, fetal growth is slow, with daily weight gain of only about 1 gram. As nutritional needs are relatively low, varying degrees of morning sickness may occur.
Recommended foods: millet porridge, pork liver soup, kelp and tofu soup, and plenty of fruits.
Avoid: Raw, cold, greasy, overly sweet, or richly flavored foods.
Second Month Diet Plan:
During this period, expectant mothers should consume adequate amounts of foods rich in protein, fats, calcium, iron, zinc, phosphorus, vitamins (A, B, C, D, E), and folic acid to support normal fetal growth and development.
Examples: Crucian carp soup, cabbage heart and milk soup (5g cabbage heart, 50g milk, 200g chicken broth), stewed lamb with radish, pickled cabbage with pork liver; various fruits; millet porridge, corn gruel (mainly light and bland).
Third, Fourth, and Fifth Month Diet:
Nutrition during mid-pregnancy.Fetal growth accelerates, with daily weight gain reaching 10 grams. Pregnant women should consume more nutrient-rich foods to meet increased demands. In addition to three regular meals daily, add an afternoon snack.
Increase intake of taro, garlic shoots, fresh daylilies, snow peas, cilantro, rapeseed greens, chives, celery, and Chinese cabbage.Among fruits, peaches, olives, fresh coconut meat, crabapples, and sand pears are rich in fiber and pectin.

Fish-flavored liver slices, Chinese yam (goji berry) free-range chicken soup, spinach soup, garlic-infused romaine lettuce, crucian carp and tofu soup, carrot and lamb soup, millet porridge, corn gruel.
