Due to modern diets being nutrient-rich, oily skin is quite common. To control sebum production, it's essential to avoid excessive oil intake. After reducing fried and greasy foods in my diet, my skin's oiliness improved significantly within about six months. Now I maintain a very light diet.
2. Cleansing
Those with oily skin are often advised to use soap-based cleansers. However, this isn't absolute—some combination skin types experience dryness on the cheeks, making such products unsuitable. Product selection requires comprehensive consideration, not just focusing on the T-zone. Additionally, avoid over-cleansing, which can irritate the skin.
II. How to Choose the Most Suitable Cosmetics
1. Cleansers
(1) Oily Skin
Oily skin produces more sebum than average, requiring stronger cleansing products. Soap-based cleansers are typically recommended. They effectively remove oil, rinse off easily, and leave skin feeling refreshingly clean.
(2) Combination Skin
This skin type is primarily oily in the T-zone, while the cheeks are usually normal or even slightly dry. Therefore, products with extremely strong oil-removing properties should not be chosen solely for deep cleansing the T-zone, especially in autumn. A regular foaming cleanser is sufficient.
2. Toner
Many girls say the alcohol in toners is harmful. In reality, many toners contain alcohol because its evaporation provides a refreshing sensation and helps tighten pores. So if your skin isn't sensitive to alcohol, you can still choose toners with alcohol.Even in winter, they avoid richer products for fear of greasiness. Ultimately, their skin (especially the cheeks) becomes increasingly dry. Moisturizer should be applied immediately after cleansing. Opt for lightweight formulas that absorb quickly.
