While yoga is often associated with afternoon practice, few consider morning sessions. In fact, morning yoga is superior—it clears the mind and offers weight-loss benefits comparable to running. Below, we introduce recommended morning yoga poses.
After waking up, perform simple yoga movements in bed while practicing abdominal breathing. This activates cells throughout your body and boosts metabolism, effectively targeting excess fat around the abdomen and back. The most crucial element in morning yoga is breathing technique.Begin with an exhalation, visualizing the expulsion of toxins accumulated overnight. Slowly inhale fresh air, calming your mind and preparing for the day's challenges.
Pose 1: Chest and Abdominal Stretch
1. Sit on the floor with weight evenly distributed over both sitting bones. Keep your body balanced, hands placed behind you, engage your lower abdomen to stabilize your core, and point your toes upward.

4. Inhale, then exhale while tilting knees to the left, opening your right chest.
Exercise 2: Relax Joints, Soften Body
1. Bend knees, place left hand on floor, and tilt body to left. Slightly lift right leg, drawing right knee toward head. Engage lower abdomen upward to support body.At this point, release tension from the groin area and extend the entire leg forward, as if expanding the hip joint.
3. Then move the leg away from the upper body. Straighten the torso and shift the leg backward.
4. After moving the leg backward, bend the right knee and lean the upper body backward. Consciously stretch the area from the leg to the pelvis and head. Repeat on the opposite side.
Practicing morning yoga daily not only refreshes your mind and body for work or study but also helps maintain a fit physique and shed excess fat. It's just two simple movements that take little time and aren't difficult to perform. The key lies in consistency.
