We all know we shift through various sitting postures during work hours—sometimes crossing our legs. Yet few realize that crossing your legs is harmful to your health.
While crossing legs is detrimental, once it becomes a habit, it's often difficult to break. Be mindful of correcting this habit.
>If your job requires prolonged sitting, choose proper posture and protective measures. Sit in a chair with a backrest, press your buttocks firmly against it, and place a cushion behind your lower back for lumbar support. Constantly remind yourself not to cross your legs. The worst posture is sitting on the edge of the seat with your spine arched backward, which severely damages the spine.
Since crossing your legs is harmful to health, people should minimize this habit and maintain a seated posture with both feet flat on the ground to ensure smooth blood circulation. Additionally, take breaks periodically to stand up and move your waist and legs, preventing bodily damage from prolonged static postures.
Therefore, during work hours, we should stand up and engage in some activities to relieve physical stress.
