Do not discard the original quilt packaging bag, as it serves as the ideal storage solution. If unavailable, opt for a dust-proof, breathable cotton-linen fabric bag. Non-breathable bags may cause mold growth.
Wash and Air Dry Before Storage
Select cleaning methods based on the quilt's material. Non-washable quilts must be air-dried on sunny afternoons, avoiding prolonged exposure—typically 3-4 hours is sufficient. After drying, ensure all moisture has evaporated before storing to prevent condensation.
Folding Method
Shake out the washed quilt. Fold it lengthwise from the longer side into a long strip. Fold both ends inward, leaving a gap in the middle. Then fold it in half. Place it into the storage bag after folding.
How to Keep Dry
Keep quilts dry, but never place dehumidifiers, charcoal dehumidifiers, or mothballs directly inside the storage bag. Instead, place dehumidifiers and insect repellents in the cabinet where the quilt is stored.
Where to Store the Quilt
After packing, store the quilt on top of the wardrobe whenever possible. Avoid stacking clothing on top to prevent loss of elasticity and reduced warmth retention.
