Sunburn Repair Method 1: Emergency Treatment. Apply cold compresses with ice water or use non-coagulating cold compresses for immediate skin care; externally apply calamine lotion, zinc oxide ointment, or hydrocortisone cream; if necessary, concurrently take oral antihistamines like chlorpheniramine, corticosteroids like prednisone, and appropriate symptomatic treatments. Symptoms typically begin to subside and resolve within two to three days of treatment.
II. Dietary Therapy. Consume walnut paste, rich in protein, fats, potassium, iron, vitamins C and E. Its protein and fats replenish phosphorus in the body, invigorate cells, and accelerate cell growth.
III. Vegetable and Fruit Therapy
Cucumber: Apply cucumber juice to painful skin for 10 minutes. The cooling sensation penetrates the skin, naturally reducing pain. Cucumber juice is rich in water and contains vitamin C, which enhances skin regeneration. It replenishes lost moisture and treats flaking. Rinse thoroughly with water after application.
Watermelon Rind: Mash watermelon rind into juice, mix with honey to form a mask, and apply for 15-30 minutes before rinsing off with water.
Aloe Vera: Apply the gel-like juice from aloe vera leaves to sunburned skin and allow it to dry naturally.Beyond accelerating skin recovery, aloe vera provides immediate cooling relief when applied to sunburned, painful skin.
Other Remedies:
Honey: Rich in vitamins and glucose, honey nourishes and brightens skin while offering antibacterial properties that promote faster healing and restore skin radiance.
Vitamin E Moisturizer for Scar Prevention: Cut open a vitamin E capsule and mix its oily contents into your moisturizer to create a homemade vitamin E treatment. Apply this to sunburned skin. Regular use of vitamin E moisturizer after sunburn accelerates skin recovery and helps prevent scarring.Adding vitamin E capsules to moisturizer increases its vitamin E concentration, accelerating sunburn recovery.
Egg White: Rich in protein, egg white supports skin regeneration.
Tea Water: Gently dab tea-soaked cotton balls on sunburned areas to soothe skin and reduce burning sensations. The principle lies in the tannic acid within tea leaves, which possesses excellent astringent properties. It reduces tissue swelling and cellular exudation, proving highly effective for mild sunburn without blistering. For extensive sunburn, you can also add strong tea to a basin at home and soak the affected skin in the water for several minutes for more pronounced results.
Pearl Powder: For skin that has blistered or broken, mix pearl powder with honey into a paste. Apply it to the sunburned area for 15-20 minutes, then rinse off with water. After 2-3 applications, noticeable improvement should occur. Pearl powder possesses anti-inflammatory and tissue-regenerating properties for wounds, burns, and broken skin that won't heal, while honey provides excellent nourishment and moisture retention.Pearl powder mixed with honey also makes an excellent facial mask. Pearl powder promotes blood circulation and cell regeneration in the skin, effectively reducing acne and freckles while delaying skin aging. Adding egg white or vitamin E enhances its benefits.
The above covers all aspects of repairing sunburned skin. We remind everyone to practice diligent sun protection daily and seek prompt treatment for any skin issues to prevent severe damage.
