Experts suggest that frequent stretching promotes bodily contraction and expansion. This enhances blood flow within muscles while removing metabolic waste products, thereby alleviating fatigue.
Similarly, we can try simple health exercises to stretch our bodies, relax our minds, and banish fatigue!
First Move: Deep Breathing (Foundation)
First, let's perform several deep breaths.
Method:
1. Inhale until you can't take in any more air, then exhale completely.
2. Repeat this cycle about 10 times.
Deep breathing helps expel stale air from the lungs, increases lung capacity and oxygen levels in the blood, thereby accelerating blood circulation. This revitalizes the body.
Second Technique: Simulated Hair Brushing
Method:
1. Slightly bend the index fingers of both hands, touching the scalp with fingertips.
2. Perform back-and-forth brushing motions from the forehead to the back of the head, and from the temples to the crown, until warmth is felt in the scalp.
This technique stimulates acupoints on the head, unblocks meridians, regulates nerves, enhances secretory functions, improves blood circulation, boosts metabolism, relaxes brain nerves, and alleviates fatigue.
Additionally, regularly practicing this exercise can help improve alertness, relieve pain, lower blood pressure, and darken hair.
Third Technique: Facial Rubbing
Method:
1. Place both hands over your face as if shielding it, keeping fingers together.
2. Stroke downward from forehead to chin, repeating 20–30 times.
This technique stimulates facial nerves while refreshing the mind, lowering blood pressure, and preventing colds.
3 Essential Health Exercises for Office Workers to Stay Energized All Day
I. Eye Exercises
1. Close eyes tightly, then open them wide. Repeat 5–10 times.
2. Blink forcefully, then gently rotate eyes. Repeat 5–10 times.

5. Rotate your eyes forcefully in a full circle to the left and right, then look at your nose. Repeat 3-5 times.
II. Neck and Shoulder Health Exercises
Office workers who spend long hours at desks are highly susceptible to cervical spine issues. The following neck and shoulder exercises can help prevent and alleviate symptoms of cervical spondylosis.
1. Lie on your back. Press the back of your head firmly into the pillow (use a pillow that is neither too soft nor too high; 10–15 cm is ideal). Then roll onto your stomach and press your forehead firmly into the pillow.Maintain even breathing.
2. Lie prone. Lift your head and tilt it back as far as possible. Hold this position for 15 seconds. Repeat this movement while lying on your left side, right side, and back. Stretch your neck toward both sides of your body. After completing the above two sections, sit on a stool with legs flat and arms hanging naturally. Continue with the following movements.
3. Tilt your head forward, bringing your chin toward your chest as much as possible, then tilt your head back as far as possible. 2-6 times.
4. Make circular motions with your shoulders, moving forward and backward in sequence. Then reverse the direction, moving backward and forward. Do not move too quickly. 4-6 times.
5. Rotate your head from right to left, then rotate in the opposite direction. 2-6 times.
6. Tilt your head toward your left shoulder, then repeat in the opposite direction. 4–6 times.
7. Raise your right arm diagonally upward, reaching over your head to touch your left ear. Repeat with your left arm. Perform 4 consecutive repetitions.
8. Extend both arms forward as if swimming freestyle, using your shoulders as pivots. Rotate your upper arms forward in a circle 6 times, then backward 6 times.
9. Extend both arms forward in a frog-like position, crossing them so your face faces your hands. Then spread your arms wide to the sides, finally bringing them together in front of your chest. Repeat 6 times.
After each exercise set, it's best to add one breathing exercise. Sit or stand. Inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth. This benefits your cervical spine.
