Lips are one of the most sensual features of a woman. Most women pursue the allure of red lips by applying makeup and their favorite lipstick. Some even opt for permanent lip tinting to maintain that vibrant hue.So, what preparations are needed before lip tattooing?
1. Take oral antibiotics or receive injections three days prior to the procedure to prevent infection.
2. Begin dietary restrictions three days before the procedure, avoiding spicy, pungent, and irritating foods. Additionally, refrain from consuming peanuts, sunflower seeds, seafood, and similar items. These restrictions must be maintained throughout the entire lip tattooing process until the wound has fully healed.
3. If the patient frequently experiences lip blisters, oral vitamin C should be taken before the procedure. Antiviral medication should also be taken orally for five days post-procedure.
4. The procedure cannot be performed during menstruation.
3. If you frequently experience lip blisters, take oral vitamin C before the procedure and continue taking antiviral medication for five days afterward.
Lip tinting is a traumatic form of permanent cosmetic tattooing. It is resistant to water and common substances, eliminating the need for daily lipstick application and preventing makeup smudging from activities like swimming or sweating. However, it carries inherent risks. These risks primarily relate to the medical environment, the technician's skill level, and the dye materials used, and include the following:
1.Cold sores: The most common complication. Follow your practitioner's instructions for oral and topical medications to prevent outbreaks.
3. Bacterial Infection: Improperly sterilized equipment or transmission of diseases through blood, saliva, etc., during the procedure can lead to cross-infection. Symptoms include lip swelling, clusters of small pustules, pain, and a burning sensation. Severe cases may even involve sexually transmitted infections. If discomfort occurs after treatment, seek immediate medical attention.
4. Allergic Reaction:Redness, itching, or lichenoid changes around the lips may occur. This is primarily due to intolerance to pigments in the lip tinting solution, causing tissue incompatibility. Treatment requires oral and topical medications as prescribed by a doctor.
5. Abnormal Lip Color: Black or brown lip lines, or a dark purple full lip color that starkly clashes with the individual's skin tone and natural lip color.
Note: Lip tint formulations must be customized based on the client's age, skin tone, and natural lip color. Those with pale lips or younger age may opt for bright red, deep red, or vermilion shades. Older individuals or those with darker lips should choose light red tones. Coffee brown is not recommended, as it may result in an unhealthy liver-like hue on the lips.
