Back Fat Reduction: Before liposuction was invented, thick back fat was virtually impossible to address. A full, heavy back would be squeezed into two protruding sections by tight bra straps, causing embarrassment when wearing sheer summer dresses and making one appear much older than their actual age.
Under normal circumstances, the subcutaneous fat on the back is thin and evenly distributed, revealing the contours of the underlying tissues. Only in cases of obesity does it appear swollen or excessively flat. At the center of the back lies the spinous processes of the vertebrae, flanked by the powerful erector spinae muscles. Further outward lies the back plane formed by the ribs and shoulder blades. The fat on the back has distinct characteristics: the fat directly at the center is flat and relatively taut, while the fat at the junctions with the armpits or lower ribs on either side is noticeably loose and accumulates.
Back fat reduction surgery is arguably one of the largest and most demanding procedures in terms of achieving a smooth, even result. The goal is to remove a layer of fat uniformly, appropriately tighten the skin, reveal the back's natural contours, and showcase an alluring silhouette.
