Poor blood circulation causes extensive darkening around the eyes. The island climate contributes to allergic constitutions and poor respiratory circulation, making 85% of Taiwanese women prone to circulatory dark circles. These tend to be coffee-brown in hue, requiring skin tone correction for flawless coverage.Use an orange concealer to neutralize brownish circles, then apply a second layer in a shade close to your natural skin tone. This ensures the concealed dark circles don't appear unnatural. Similar to painting principles, using warm tones to neutralize darkness yields a more natural result than simply covering with a lighter shade.
Step 1: Apply a moisturizing orange concealer evenly over the dark circles.
Step 2: Blend a concealer matching or one shade lighter than your skin tone onto the back of your hand.
Step 3: Gently press and pat the concealer onto the dark circles.

Tip: Use an orange-toned concealer to lightly press and pat from the tear trough area where dark circles originate.
Step 4: Dip a brush into powder foundation and lightly pat over the concealed area, then gently sweep in the same direction.
Tip: Using an orange-toned concealer, gently press from the lower lash line toward the cheekbone along the area where dark circles originate. Cover only the dark circles themselves—avoid extending it over a large area.Never start concealing from the lower lash line. Always begin at the lowest edge of the dark circle or its center to achieve a blended effect (otherwise, an unnatural white line may appear under the eye). After correcting the skin tone, the second layer of concealer can cover a slightly larger area. Finally, gently press on eye-specific loose powder.
These appear beneath the inner corner of the eye, typically caused by skin laxity due to aging. Individuals with extremely sensitive eyes or a habit of rubbing their eyes are also prone to this issue. Essentially, aging and sagging lead to layered skin discoloration. Avoid using dry concealers to cover this, as they can cause severe caking. Instead, opt for a liquid, moisturizing concealer with a peachy undertone.
Step 1: Mix the moisturizer with the concealer until smooth. Since concealers can sometimes be relatively dry, blending them with moisturizer enhances the concealer's hydrating properties.
Step 2: Gently dab the blended concealer onto dark circles, then lightly pat with your fingertips to ensure it adheres smoothly to the skin.
Step 3: Apply a hydrating, eye-specific loose powder over the concealed area with an upward, sweeping motion.
Step 4: Highlight the inner and outer corners of the eyes with a brightening powder.
Tip: First lightly press liquid concealer onto the inner corner, then layer a minimal amount of cream concealer to slightly expand coverage. However, if only the inner corner is dark, avoid large-area concealing—color mismatch may accentuate under-eye darkness. After applying cream concealer, lightly brush a small amount of pearlescent loose powder (with extremely fine particles) onto tear trough-type dark circles. This uses pearlescent reflection to brighten the eye area while also concealing fine lines with a mirror-like effect.
