How to Maintain Bangs After Braiding?
Step 1: Wash Your Hair.
Regular washing is essential for maintaining voluminous bangs. Avoid letting hair become greasy, which can affect the style.
Step 2: Trim Regularly.
Trim your bangs frequently, ideally every one to two weeks, to keep them neat and even.
Trimming steps:
1. Use regular scissors to trim excess length horizontally.
This thins the ends, creating a natural curve that prevents the fringe from flipping upward.
3. Using a fine-toothed comb, gently comb from the roots outward to the desired length. Hold thinning shears at a 45-degree angle and make light, diagonal cuts through the hair. This prevents the ends from looking stiff and blunt.
Step 3: Blow-dry the bangs.
After washing, dry the hair forward first.
Direct the blow dryer downward while using fingers to lift and dry the roots. Use a round brush to lift the bangs to a 90-degree angle and curl them, building root volume. For thicker hair, divide the bangs into two layers—dry the outer layer first, then the inner layer.
Step 4: Combing.
Regularly comb your bangs from roots to ends. This maintains neatness.
