Reasons for Hot Water Bottle Explosions
I. Causes
As is well known, electric hot water bottles utilize heating elements for warmth, eliminating the need for repeated water refills and offering convenience!However, electric hot water bottles currently sold on the market present varying degrees of safety hazards. Many manufacturers, due to technical limitations or cost-cutting measures, only incorporate temperature protection without pressure protection. If the materials or manufacturing processes are defective, a malfunctioning thermostat can cause the internal temperature and pressure to rise rapidly. III. Filling Instructions
Filling
Place the hot water bottle flat on a table with the power socket facing upward. Open the filling plug.
Use the small funnel included in the accessories to gently push open the bottom flap of the filling port, ensuring the funnel is fully inserted.
Remove the funnel and screw it onto a beverage bottle with matching threads. Fill with water in one go.(Do not change the water again)
Fill to the volume corresponding to your purchased product.
Air Release
1. After filling, release air by holding the filling port at its highest point, then slowly lower it. When liquid overflows from the filling port, plug it with the small stopper. (The top of the stopper should align with the upper edge of the filling port).
2.Thoroughly wipe any moisture from the charging base and bag with a dry cloth or towel to ensure the surface is completely dry before charging. IV. Precautions Avoid filling with boiling water. Water around 90°C (198°F) is ideal to prevent premature rubber aging. Do not overfill. Fill to approximately 2/3 capacity, then expel air from the bag and secure the stopper tightly.
After use, empty the water, blow air inside to prevent inner walls from sticking, and hang upside down.
V. Development Process
Traditional hot water bottles were simply hollow rubber containers, typically square-shaped with a spout at one end sealed by a stopper (often screw-type). They functioned by filling with hot water for warmth.With technological advancement, new types have emerged: electric hot water bottles and electric heating pads. Liquid-filled electric hot water bottles contain a heating element that warms the liquid inside when plugged in. Electric heating pads use insulating cotton filling that heats up when powered, providing warmth.
