The gelatin layer uses a high-quality pressure-sensitive adhesive coating unique to Japan, ensuring strong adhesion without staining clothing.
II. Basic Principle
Kobayashi Pharmaceutical's heat patches operate on the principle of using a galvanic cell to accelerate oxidation reactions, converting chemical energy into heat. To prolong heat retention, the product incorporates the mineral material vermiculite for insulation. Since the product must remain inactive before use, the bag material is specially designed, consisting of a raw material layer, a gelatin layer, and a non-woven fabric bag.The non-woven bag is made from a microporous breathable membrane. It also requires a standard non-permeable outer bag—the gelatin layer. When used, the outer bag is removed, exposing the inner bag (non-woven bag) to air. Oxygen from the air then enters through the breathable membrane.The duration and temperature of heat release are controlled by the oxygen permeability rate of the breathable membrane. If oxygen permeates too quickly, heat is released instantaneously and may cause skin burns. If oxygen permeates too slowly, insufficient heat is generated. After use, the product becomes a dark brown solid containing carbon powder, solid NaCl, solid Fe₂O₃, and magnesium-aluminum salts.
III. Usage Instructions
