After the week-long National Day holiday, many suffer from "post-holiday syndrome," with symptoms like dizziness, fatigue, insomnia, and loss of appetite plaguing office workers. How can you quickly adjust and improve these conditions? Here are three techniques: tapping meridians to relieve "post-holiday syndrome."
First Technique: Tap the Pericardium Meridian. Follow the midline of the inner upper arms on both sides, tapping downward. Perform 1-2 times daily for about 20 minutes each session.
Second Technique: Tap the Heart Meridian. Follow the inner side of the upper arms closest to the torso on both sides, tapping downward. Perform 1-2 times daily for about 20 minutes each session.
Third Technique: Tap the Gallbladder Meridian. Follow the midline of the outer thighs (from the hips to the knees), tapping downward. Perform 1-2 times daily for about 20 minutes each session.
Expert Commentary: Tapping the Pericardium and Heart Meridians during holidays can soothe the mind and relieve depression, aiding sleep and emotional regulation. As "the gallbladder governs free flow," tapping the Gallbladder Meridian promotes digestion, metabolism, and absorption while also regulating qi flow.
Special Reminders:
1. Tapping Technique: Use a solid palm. Feeling slight pain indicates correct tapping. Each time the palm strikes the skin, visualize infusing clear energy into the body. As the palm lifts, imagine and perform the action of drawing out impure energy. Adjust intensity to a tolerable level—greater pain is better. Initial discomfort may lessen over time.
2. After tapping, fully relax your body and rest briefly for optimal results. This method is not suitable for those with serious illnesses, fever, or weak constitutions.
