3. Hematuria: Capillary congestion and dilation of small vessels in the prostate mucosa can rupture and bleed due to stretching from bladder filling and contraction. Hematuria may also occur when combined with bladder tumors.
Preventing Prostate Hyperplasia Should Begin Early
1. Physical Exercise. Exercises targeting the abdomen, thighs, and buttocks massage the prostate, promoting blood and lymphatic circulation in the area. Therefore, 20–30 minutes of daily jogging or brisk walking offers health benefits for the prostate in middle-aged and elderly men.
2. Maintain hygiene. The scrotum is highly elastic and produces significant sweat, while the perineum has poor ventilation, making it prone to harboring dirt and bacteria. Thorough cleansing of the perineum is crucial for preventing BPH. Additionally, daily warm sitz baths can reduce local inflammation and help dissipate inflammation caused by BPH.
3. Supplement zinc. Under normal conditions, zinc levels in the prostate are higher than in any other organ, as zinc is essential for synthesizing male hormones. When zinc deficiency occurs in the blood, the prostate may enlarge and proliferate. Therefore, to enhance sexual function and prevent prostate diseases like enlargement, men may consider eating a handful of pumpkin seeds daily.

What are the treatment methods for prostate hyperplasia?
1. Laser Therapy

Primary adverse reactions include significant prostate swelling and pain post-injection, with potential complications like urinary retention, cystitis, or urethritis. Injection of sclerosing agents may also cause adhesions between the prostate and surrounding tissues, complicating future surgeries.
3. Cryotherapy
Cryotherapy involves creating deep cryogenic temperatures (-160°C to -180°C) locally within the prostate. This causes tissue dehydration, spasm of small blood vessels, blood stasis, and thrombus formation, leading to tissue ischemia, hypoxia, necrosis, and sloughing. This therapy is simple to perform, safe, and reliable, and may be suitable for patients unable to tolerate open surgery.
