How should we handle stress?

Appropriate pressure can promote blood circulation, but excessive pressure excites the sympathetic nervous system, leading to poor blood flow, reduced excretion capacity, and lowered body temperature, gradually weakening physical constitution. Therefore, we must learn to manage stress. Different attitudes toward stress yield vastly different outcomes.
An effective self-healing method for stress relief is "laughter." As a positive expression, it enhances brain function and strengthens the activity of NK cells (natural killer cells).NK cells circulate throughout the body via the bloodstream. When they detect virus-infected cells, cancer cells, or foreign substances, they eliminate them.
Frequent laughter activates NK cells, helping to boost immunity. Some hospitals incorporate laughter as a therapeutic tool in cancer treatment, encouraging patients to view comics and laugh.
Additionally, laughter triggers the brain to release "happiness hormones"—β- endorphins, creating a sense of well-being. Especially when laughing heartily, breathing volume can increase up to fourfold, allowing for greater oxygen intake. Laughter engages the diaphragm, promoting blood circulation to internal organs. However, a mere smile or forced laughter lacks this effect.
Engage in conversations with friends or family, watch movies, or attend plays—these are frequent opportunities to laugh. Laugh often to relieve stress and enhance your health. The age-old saying "A laugh makes you ten years younger" captures this essence.
Beyond laughter, cultivate positive emotions like gratitude, empathy, and prayer. Like laughter, these boost immune system function and enhance immunity.
