Beauty Grapefruit Juice Recipes
1. Lychee Grapefruit Juice
6 lychees, half a pomelo or regular grapefruit, honey to taste.
Peel and pit the lychees, then cut into small pieces. Peel the grapefruit, reserving the flesh, and cut into small chunks. Place lychee and grapefruit flesh in a blender. Add an appropriate amount of water and a small amount of honey. Blend until smooth.
2.Mint Pomelo Honey
3 pomelos, 100g rock sugar, 200g water, honey to taste, 1 rice bowl of lemon catmint.
Wash and finely chop the mint. Wash the pomelos, scrape off the outer rind (avoiding the white pith), and chop finely. Separate the pomelo segments.Bring rock sugar and water to a boil. Add grapefruit segments and simmer for 5-10 minutes. Add grapefruit peel and continue simmering for another 5-10 minutes until thick and sticky. Stir in lemon leaves briefly before turning off the heat. Let cool, then mix in honey until well combined. Seal and refrigerate for 2-3 days before diluting with water for drinking.
3. Pomelo Pepper
10 green bird's eye chilies, green pomelo peel to taste, salt and white sugar to taste.
Wash and dry the chilies, then slice into rings. Wash the pomelo in salt water, pat dry, and peel off the outer skin with a zester (minimizing pith). Finely shred the peeled zest. In a deep container, combine chili rings, pomelo zest, salt, and sugar. Using a heavy pestle (the heavier the better), crush into a paste using circular motions.
4. Honey Grapefruit Tea
1 grapefruit, a pinch of salt, 2/3 bag rock sugar, 5 tablespoons honey, water as needed.
Wash grapefruit: Rinse with water, then rub the peel with salt to remove wax. Rinse thoroughly.
Prepare the peel: Cut the grapefruit horizontally, remove the flesh. Cut the peel into chunks, scrape off the white pith, leaving only a thin layer of yellow skin. Slice this into very fine strips (the finer the better), then soak in cold water to remove bitterness. Prepare the flesh: Peel off the outer membrane, remove seeds, break into small pieces, and place in a container.
Cooking: Add water just enough to cover the pulp and bring to a boil. Simmer over low heat for 30 minutes, then add sugar in several batches. After 60 minutes of cooking, add the grapefruit peel strips and continue cooking. After 10 minutes, add honey, cover the pot, bring to a boil briefly, then turn off the heat.
Bottling: Do not open the lid; allow to cool naturally.Sterilize glass jars by microwaving for one minute. Pour in the pomelo tea, seal tightly. Refrigerate only after completely cooled.
5. Pomelo Tea
Large pomelo (peel and half the flesh), 300g rock sugar, 100g honey.
Peel the pomelo thinly—thick peels leave bitter white pith.Briefly stir-fry the peel in salt water to reduce bitterness. While boiling the peel, thoroughly remove all pith from the grapefruit—this residue can cause bitterness in the final product.
After boiling, finely shred the grapefruit peel, then combine with rock sugar, fruit flesh, and shredded peel. Add enough water to just cover the mixture and simmer. After half an hour, when the mixture becomes thick and sticky, and only a small amount of liquid can be scooped up with a spoon, remove from heat. Let cool, then add honey (do not add too much, or the honey's sweetness will overpower the grapefruit's delicate fragrance). Stir well, transfer to a sealed jar, refrigerate, and enjoy after 3 days.
