As demand for anti-aging cosmetic procedures and minimally invasive injectable wrinkle treatments grows among both women and men, researchers and developers are focusing on the aesthetic surgery field, striving to create new products and procedures. According to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), over 93,000 cosmetic surgical and non-surgical procedures are being performed.In the United States, procedures increased by 9% in 2010 compared to 2009. A survey commissioned by ASAPS revealed that 51% of Americans, regardless of income level, would consider cosmetic surgery.
Injectable fillers and laser resurfacing are gaining popularity.
