Eyebrows protect the eyes and significantly impact overall aesthetics, playing a vital role in human appearance. Congenital sparse eyebrows or scar-induced defects can be corrected through single-follicle eyebrow transplantation.
Types of Eyebrow Transplantation Procedures:
(1) Eyebrow Reconstruction: For patients with complete eyebrow loss, options include scalp flap transplantation, pedicled island flap transplantation, hair transplantation, or combining these with microblading for refinement. Single-hair transplantation best mimics the natural growth pattern and density variation of real eyebrows, yielding the most realistic results.
(2) Eyebrow reshaping: Combines laser hair removal, single-hair transplantation, eyebrow reduction, or brow lift procedures to recreate perfectly shaped and dense eyebrows while adjusting the ideal distance between eyebrows and eyes.
(3) Brow lift (or reduction): Corrects unfavorable eyebrow shapes, overly wide or thick tattooed brows, improper coloring, drooping/sagging upper eyelid skin, and wrinkles around the eyebrows.and crow's feet at the outer corners of the eyes. This procedure enhances facial charm and youthfulness. During the lift (or reduction) surgery, the incision can also be used to remove upper eyelid orbital fat and eliminate the corrugator muscle, thereby improving puffy upper eyelids and troublesome glabellar wrinkles.
Eyebrow cosmetic surgery employs a brow margin incision, resulting in a highly concealed scar line that patients find entirely acceptable. If hair transplantation is performed, no scarring remains.
