1. Brow Head: Place the eyebrow pencil vertically beside the nostril, aligning it with the outer corner of the eye. The point where the pencil meets the eyebrow is the brow head.
2. Brow Arch: Position the pencil beside the nostril and draw a straight line toward the outer edge of the pupil. The intersection of the pencil and eyebrow defines the brow arch.
3. Tail: Position the pencil beside the nostril, aligning it with the outer corner of the eye. Where the pencil meets the eyebrow is the tail.
II. Preparation
1. Gently brush both eyebrows with an eyebrow brush, then wipe with toner to cleanse.
2. Apply a cotton pad soaked in warm water or a warm towel to the eyebrow area for 2 minutes to reduce discomfort during plucking. Alternatively, apply a layer of moisturizer.
3. Use a magnifying mirror combined with a regular mirror under bright natural light to minimize shaping errors.
4. Trim excessively long hairs to a suitable length, keeping the tail slightly shorter and the brow bone area longer.
5. Using tweezers, pluck hairs one at a time in the direction of growth—outward or upward. Immediately brush the brows smooth afterward to check for mistakes.
6. After removing several hairs from one eyebrow, switch to the other to ensure symmetry.
7. After plucking excess hairs, shave any stray hairs around the eyebrow area with a razor, then lightly brush with a small brush.
8. If discomfort occurs, apply an ice pack to reduce pain, or use tea tree oil to alleviate redness and swelling.
III. Shaping
1. Choose eyebrow powder or pencil in a shade slightly lighter than your hair color for a more harmonious overall look.
2. Eyebrow powder creates a more natural effect than pencil. If using pencil, softer formulas are easier to control than hard ones.
3. When using a pencil, start from the center of the eyebrow. Fill in sparse areas stroke by stroke, working toward either the inner or outer edge. This creates a more natural effect. Alternatively, sweep the pencil onto a brow brush, then gradually blend the color from the middle toward the inner corner for a more refined finish.
4. Slightly darker color in the middle of the eyebrow, with lighter shades at the inner and outer corners, creates a more vibrant makeup effect.
5. After drawing, gently brush with a spiral eyebrow brush to blend the color. Finally, lightly sweep with eyebrow setting gel to keep brows neat. Clear mascara can also be used as an alternative.
