How Can Breast Augmentation Achieve Significant Fat Transfer? For women with smaller breasts, cosmetic breast augmentation is often the optimal solution. But what if you desire fuller breasts without adding fat? The following information may provide helpful insights.
Today, autologous fat transfer for breast augmentation is a common cosmetic surgical procedure. Its effectiveness has been widely recognized by women seeking enhancement. If you're dissatisfied with your flat breasts, consider whether fat transfer surgery could improve your appearance. This procedure is believed to offer significant body contouring benefits.
The entire fat transfer procedure is performed under local anesthesia. A tumescent solution—a mixture of sodium bicarbonate and saline—is injected into the donor site to create swelling and whitening. A 2-3mm diameter cannula is then used to aspirate a mixture of fat, dermal tissue, and blood. After processing, pure fat cells are isolated.
After calculating the fat injection volume for each side, the plastic surgeon uses a 2mm diameter needle to inject the purified fat particles beneath the mammary gland tissue and over the pectoral muscle surface on the outer sides of both breasts. Typically, 100-150ml of fat is injected per side during a single session. Local massage ensures even fat distribution to achieve the desired breast contour.
Depending on the desired breast size, fat transfer augmentation typically requires 2-3 sessions spaced 2-6 months apart. This allows achieving the full desired volume and shape, with a maximum increase of 280-300 ml per side (commonly 120-220 ml). The results are highly effective.
