Breast augmentation has long been popular among women seeking enhancement, with implant-based augmentation being the most favored and mainstream procedure. Whether unmarried and childless or already mothers, many women hope to reshape their breasts through implant surgery. Many believe that as long as one is healthy, the timing of implant surgery doesn't matter. But is this truly the case?
Pre-marital Implant Surgery
This consideration is less about marital status and more about timing before pregnancy and childbirth. While implants do not affect breastfeeding or "contaminate" breast milk, it is generally recommended that patients wait at least six months after surgery before considering pregnancy.
Due to hormonal fluctuations during pregnancy, women's bodies undergo significant changes. It's best to allow the body to fully recover from the implant surgery before subjecting it to further changes. This also gives the body more time to regain its post-surgical sensitivity and functionality.
Breast Implant Surgery After Marriage
Here, "after marriage" primarily refers to the postpartum period. Many women after childbirth, especially those who breastfeed, experience varying degrees of breast sagging. While breast implants can improve postpartum sagging and deflation to some extent, if the sagging is severe, a breast lift may be the more appropriate solution.
