Step 1: Inspect Doors
Key points: Check if handles open and close smoothly without wobbling. Examine whether the sealant around door frames and joints is applied neatly. Also verify that door locks function properly.Nowadays, standard PVC doors typically feature double-pane insulated glass and carry the CCC certification mark.
Step 2: Activate the Main Circuit Breaker
If the developer hasn't activated it, insist they do so. Carefully inspect the main switch to ensure it operates smoothly and shows no damage.
Step 3: Inspect the electrical circuit
Developer-installed switches typically include overcurrent protection, automatically tripping during short circuits for enhanced safety. During inspection, plug a phase detector into an outlet and press its red button. If the corresponding circuit breaker in the main electrical panel trips, the system is functioning correctly.It's best to test each room, including the kitchen and bathroom, as well as the air conditioner switch. This eliminates the need to use an electric tester on every outlet.
Step 4: Measure Doorway Width, Height, and Ceiling Height
You can easily measure these dimensions with a tape measure. Note that the standard ceiling height is currently around 2.85 meters.
Step 5: Inspect the walls
If you can't find a small hammer for tapping walls, use a handy small tapping tool instead. Avoid large hammers—the bigger the hammer, the less effective it is and the more likely it is to cause damage. Cloth-covered hammers are also unsuitable.
