Bitter melon contains a highly bioactive compound called high-energy lipase. This substance targets the small intestine—the primary site for fat absorption in the human body—by altering the intestinal cell pore network. It blocks the absorption of high-calorie macromolecules like fats and polysaccharides while preserving the absorption of nutrients such as vitamins and minerals.
Bitter melon weight loss method:
If juicing isn't feasible, consume it whole. The recommended approach is to halve the melon, remove seeds, and cut into 1.5cm-wide chunks. Eat continuously, chewing thoroughly until the melon breaks down before swallowing.
If you simply hold it like a cucumber and gulp it down in one bite, you'll only absorb about one-third of the bitter melon's benefits. Naturally, this means you'll only receive one-third—or even less—of its weight-loss properties. Similarly, finish eating bitter melon at least 3 hours before bedtime. For larger portions, consume them primarily before your three main meals.
