The first birthday is a significant milestone for babies, and many families celebrate with a "grab ceremony." At this age, children cannot yet distinguish between objects or move with great dexterity, so they typically grab whatever is within reach.

After turning one, children become highly sensitive to their surroundings. They notice changes in musical tones and can distinguish between Mom and Dad's voices. Playing cheerful, romantic, or dreamy music at this stage provides excellent training for both hearing and brain development.
Regarding vision, their ability to see objects has strengthened, and the world around them appears more three-dimensional. If possible, take your child to observe sunrises and sunsets, morning and evening glows, and the moonlit night sky.
Most children learn to walk between one and one-and-a-half years old. While some can walk longer distances and others struggle to take just one or two steps, they all possess the desire to take steps and move independently. Some mothers, noticing their child is learning to walk, begin worrying about bowed legs. In fact, most toddlers starting to walk have slightly bowed legs. As their legs develop, they will become slender and strong. The practice of swaddling a child's legs with cloth while sleeping to prevent bowing is outdated. It's unnecessary—allowing your child to move and turn freely at night actually supports healthier physical development.Babies who are still learning to walk can also skillfully climb up and down sofa cushions or small steps. Their hands are areas they can control—they can scribble and draw, and even hold a cup to drink water on their own. Psychologically, infants at this stage don't yet understand throwing things; they only feel fear toward things they dislike. Therefore, fear is very strong in babies aged one to one and a half years. If something frightens them, they may still feel terrified upon seeing that object days later. Loud noises, the sensation of warm water running over their head, injections, or being separated from their mother can all trigger intense crying. Protecting children from frightening experiences during this stage is crucial for their future personality development.
