She tragically lost her life, likely due to an anesthesia-related incident.Recently, Li and Liu, suspected of illegal medical practice, were apprehended by public security authorities.
Here's what happened: Last December, Xiaolin had undergone liposuction and breast augmentation surgery. Dissatisfied with the results, she contacted a beauty clinic via WeChat last month and agreed to undergo liposuction and breast augmentation for over 10,000 yuan.
The procedure was scheduled to take place in a hotel room booked by Li, the clinic's operator. Liu administered anesthesia to Xiaolin. Though licensed as a physician, Liu provided drugs at an unauthorized location to pursue illegal profits. As the liposuction began, Xiaolin exhibited abnormal symptoms, falling unconscious and becoming unresponsive.
Despite Li and others administering emergency oxygen and calling 120 for help, Xiaolin was pronounced dead upon the arrival of paramedics.
Seeing Xiaolin had passed away, Li and Liu cleared all surgical items from the room before fleeing the scene.
Following a manhunt, Li and Liu were apprehended. The Weiyang District Procuratorate approved their arrest on suspicion of illegal medical practice.
It is understood that any medical practice conducted by individuals without proper medical qualifications constitutes the crime of illegal medical practice. As Li and Liu caused Xiaolin's death, they may face harsher sentencing. Yet even if convicted of serious crimes, they cannot bring Xiaolin's vibrant life back.
