After washing hair, damp strands often soak through clothing. While blow-drying can dry hair quickly, it may cause yellowing and dryness. Many people therefore use highly absorbent hair towels. After washing, wrap wet hair inside the towel and secure it with a small button—a very convenient method.
However, avoid keeping wet hair wrapped in a towel for extended periods. Firstly, it won't effectively dry your hair—the towel only absorbs surface moisture, neglecting the scalp area. Secondly, as the towel absorbs water, it gradually becomes damp itself. Exposure to airflow can leave your entire head feeling chilly, increasing the risk of colds and headaches over time.
Therefore, on warmer days, remove the towel once your hair stops dripping—natural airflow will dry it quickly. On colder days, to prevent colds, use a hair-drying cap to absorb moisture, but always follow up with a blow-dry.
