Don't Let Mascara Become a Killer: Residual Particles Can Cause Eye Diseases
Doctors explain that the eyes are among the most delicate organs in the human body, highly sensitive to foreign substances. When women fail to thoroughly remove daily mascara, tiny particles often remain, causing significant harm to the eyes. Over time, this can lead to conditions like conjunctivitis and blepharitis. Moreover, many people experience unexplained eye irritation or tearing, which may stem from incomplete removal of mascara and other cosmetics.
Moreover, cosmetics inherently contain complex ingredients, and many substandard products circulate in the market. Should toxins enter the eyes, the consequences could be unimaginable.
Recommendations:
1. Thoroughly remove mascara daily—never skip this step.
2. Individuals with existing eye conditions should absolutely avoid mascara due to compromised local immunity.
3. Switching mascara brands or using the same product during different periods may cause eye discomfort. If issues arise, immediately discontinue use and seek medical attention.
4. Choose reputable, high-quality mascara brands whenever possible to minimize eye damage.
Two Methods for Proper Mascara Removal
Eyelashes are very close to the eyes. Improper removal can cause cosmetics to fall into the eyes, causing discomfort. Incorrect removal methods can also damage the lashes, so movements must be gentle and careful. Always use eye-specific makeup removers.
Method One
Step 1:First, place a cotton swab soaked in makeup remover on the upper lashes. Position a clean cotton pad beneath the eye. Gently roll the swab over the lashes, allowing the dissolved mascara to adhere to the swab and transfer onto the cotton pad.
Step 2: Repeat the same method to remove mascara from the lower lashes.
Option 2
Dip a cotton pad in eye makeup remover, fold it over, and place your lashes between the folds. Once the mascara dissolves, gently sweep the pad forward to remove it. Avoid using too much remover to prevent it from seeping into your eyes and causing discomfort.
