Beware of Misguided Makeup Habits

Sharing cosmetics is common—between mothers and daughters, or spouses—but this practice is harmful. Skin types vary, so cosmetic choices should be personalized. Children's delicate skin demands higher safety and non-irritating standards, making adult products unsuitable. Conversely, ingredients in children's cosmetics are not appropriate for adults. Therefore, it's best to use cosmetics tailored to each individual.
Using "Fucortin":
Many young people with acne habitually use topical medications like Fucortin for quick relief. Some even use such topical treatments as long-term skincare products. In reality, most of these topical medications contain hormones. Long-term use carries significant side effects, not only failing to effectively treat acne but also potentially causing skin problems.
Product Monotony:
Many people stick to the same cosmetics indefinitely, which is unscientific. For example, foundation creams: moisturizing liquid foundations are suitable for cold, dry winters, but they tend to flake off in summer. Skin conditions constantly change with seasons, age, and other factors. The shift from normal to combination skin, or from oily to dry skin, is a dynamic process. Different cosmetics should be chosen for different skin phases to provide the care it truly needs.
Going Bare-Faced is Best:
While excessive makeup can harm skin, the belief that avoiding all cosmetics and skincare products prevents burdening the skin is also misguided. For instance, summer UV rays can easily cause sunburn. Choosing sunscreen with an appropriate SPF value can minimize skin damage.Products bearing these labels are often assumed safe. However, even natural cosmetics made with plant extracts require preservatives and other chemicals to ensure shelf life. Moreover, natural ingredients can still cause allergies. Therefore, those with sensitive skin or allergies should approach "natural" claims with caution.
