I. Hazards of Hair Oil Treatments
Most hair oil treatments contain harmful elements like lead and mercury. Long-term use allows these substances to penetrate the scalp into hair follicles and even enter the bloodstream, causing bodily harm and potential pathological changes. Therefore, avoid frequent use. Experts caution that while harmful substances like lead and mercury in some hair dyes may have decreased, a completely harmless hair dye simply does not exist on the market.
The outer layer of human hair is composed of a component called the cuticle. Beneath this lies the hair's primary structure—the cortex. Hair dyes achieve their miraculous color-changing effect by breaking through the cuticle, penetrating into the cortex, and undergoing a chemical reaction there, transforming from small molecules into larger ones. The cuticle's molecular structure is small, allowing the coloring chemicals to be stored within the hair.
If hair is over-colored and damaged without timely recovery, it may lose its luster, become dry and brittle, or even split.Hair dye enters the body through the skin and hair follicles, then enters the bloodstream. If the dye concentration is too high or the frequency of dyeing is too frequent, it can damage blood cells, becoming a causative agent for lymphoma and leukemia. Additionally, the toxic chemicals in hair dye must be metabolized by the liver and kidneys after entering the body. Therefore, long-term, repeated inhalation inevitably causes damage to liver and kidney function.
