My baby is one month old. What complementary foods or nutrients can I introduce at this stage? How can I tell if my baby is deficient in calcium or other nutrients?
At one month, babies should already be receiving cod liver oil and calcium supplements to prevent rickets caused by calcium deficiency.Breast milk should remain the primary source of nutrition. For formula-fed or mixed-fed babies, small amounts of vegetable broth or fruit juice can be introduced, ensuring normal bowel movements. Solid foods should only be introduced after 4 months of age. With proper feeding, there's no need to overly worry about nutritional deficiencies.
