The fundamental method for curling lashes is using an eyelash curler. Curlers sold on the market come in scissor-type and portable designs. When curling, it's recommended to divide lashes into three sections: inner corner, middle, and root. When selecting a curler, choose one with a softer rubber pad, and maintain consistent pressure during curling.
For longer-lasting, more natural results, eyelash heaters are superior. Powered by just 1-2 small AA batteries, they last one to several weeks. If purchasing a heater isn't an option, gently heating a toothpick with a lighter provides equally effective curling.
Note that excessive heat from the toothpick may scorch lashes, so precise temperature control is essential.
2. Setting Your Lashes
After curling, you need to set your lashes. Mascara helps hold the curl, but for women with monolids or hooded eyes, lashes may droop within hours, ruining the overall look. This is where lash setting spray becomes crucial.
Be mindful that applying too much mascara or setting solution can weigh down the lashes, making them more prone to drooping.
