Everyone's teeth start out pristine white during their initial growth and development. However, over time, consuming foods and beverages containing staining substances like tea, coffee, and soy sauce causes the tooth surface to yellow and even darken. Eventually, these pigments penetrate deep into the tooth structure. Much like how white clothing stained over time cannot be restored to its original whiteness no matter how thoroughly it's washed, conventional teeth cleaning methods struggle to restore stained teeth to their original brightness. So what methods can whiten teeth?
1. Gingival Pressure
Method:
1. While brushing, press the area beyond the bristles at a 45-degree angle against the gums. This temporary pressure causes localized ischemia. When the pressure is released, the blood vessels dilate and fill with blood. Repeat several times.
2. Use your index finger to massage the gums. After rinsing your mouth, place your clean right index finger on the gum mucosa. Move it up and down and side to side from the root toward the crown. Massage the inner and outer sides of the upper and lower gums in sequence for several minutes.
Gently pressing the gums enhances blood circulation within the gum tissue. Improved blood flow strengthens resistance, aids tissue metabolism, and increases the periodontal tissue's resilience to external damage, thereby reducing the occurrence of periodontal disease.
II. Tongue Licking the Palate
Method:
1. Gently press the tip of the tongue against the upper palate.
2. Use the tip of your tongue to lick the upper palate, moving it side to side 36 times. Then lick the upper gums side to side 36 times. Finally, lick the inner sides of the upper and lower lips and cheeks 36 times each.
3. When saliva increases, proceed to swallow saliva several times.
Perform once daily in the morning, afternoon, and evening to maintain oral cleanliness and prevent bad breath.
III. Comprehensive Health Exercise
Section One: Sit upright or lie supine, clenching lips and teeth for 1-2 minutes.
Section 2: Take a 2cm-long wooden chopstick, wrap it in 2-3 layers of gauze, and place it against the affected tooth. Gently clench your upper and lower teeth for 1-2 minutes, repeating 5 times.
Section 3: Place your index finger first on the upper teeth, then on the lower teeth. Gently rub back and forth 10-15 times using a saltwater solution.
IV. Tooth Tapping
Method:
1. First, calm your mind and focus, slightly closing your mouth.
2. Gently tap your upper and lower teeth together dozens of times, ensuring all teeth make contact. Avoid excessive force to prevent biting your tongue.
Perform this upper-lower tooth tapping daily upon waking and before bed. Begin with a light tap of about ten times, gradually increasing the number of taps and intensity each day.Regular tooth tapping strengthens teeth, reduces loosening and loss, enhances chewing power, and promotes digestive function. V. Comprehensive Health Exercise Section 1: Lightly tap upper and lower teeth together 36 times.
Section 2: Perform 18 repetitions each of opening/closing the mouth, protruding the jaw forward, and moving the jaw sideways. Move the jaw slowly during these exercises to promote blood circulation in the jawbone.
Section 3: Use the thenar eminence of both palms to massage the temporomandibular joint area and masseter muscle region 18 times.
Section 4: Rub hands together to generate warmth. Using the palms' heat, gently massage in downward circular motions along the sides of the nose, around the eyes, and across the forehead to the lower jaw, mimicking a facial wash, 10 times.
Section 5: Keep lips slightly closed. Use the tongue to lick and rub vertically and horizontally along the upper and lower teeth and interdental spaces 5-10 times.
