Step 1: Dispense a cherry-sized amount of makeup remover onto your fingertips. Dot it onto your nose, chin, forehead, and both cheeks.
Step 2: Begin cleansing from the nose. Keep your fingers together and massage in circular motions, moving from the nose toward the cheeks.
Step 3:Use both hands to massage in circular motions from the bridge of the nose toward the forehead, then continue toward the temples on both sides.
Step 4: Use your fingertips to gently rub back and forth along the sides of the nostrils multiple times.
Step 5: Lightly massage from the corners of the mouth toward the cheeks.
Step 6: Wipe off the cleanser with a cotton pad. Once impurities are fully dissolved, rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.
Makeup remover contains approximately 30% to 50% oil content. Unlike makeup remover oil, it cannot instantly dissolve makeup. Therefore, you need to patiently massage your face in circular motions to allow the remover to dissolve the makeup. It is recommended that you spend as much time removing your makeup as you did applying it.
Cleansing Milk Application Technique
Always combine cleansing with massage techniques. Use an ample amount of cleansing milk, massaging in an upward direction from the center outward: chin to cheeks, nose to forehead, and forehead to temples. Spend extra time massaging the oily T-zone, and apply firmer pressure around the nose where sebum tends to accumulate.
Makeup Remover Taboos
Using insufficient product is absolutely unacceptable. For everyday makeup, use an amount roughly the size of a cherry. For heavy makeup, double the amount. Only sufficient product provides the necessary oils to dissolve cosmetics and ensures adequate lubrication during massage, allowing for thorough removal.
Common Issues When Using Makeup Remover
1. Why does my skin feel drier the longer I massage with makeup remover? How long should it stay on my face?
While massage technique is crucial for maximizing the cleansing milk's effectiveness, it remains a cleansing product and should not remain on the skin for too long. The primary purpose of makeup removal is to eliminate cosmetics and impurities. However, prolonged massage can cause surface-level impurities to be reabsorbed into the skin, defeating the purpose. Therefore, it is recommended to massage with the cleansing milk for no longer than two minutes.
2. Makeup residue remains after using cleansing milk
This typically occurs for two reasons: First, the makeup is too heavy for cleansing milk alone to remove completely, requiring cleansing oil instead. The second possibility is insufficient product quantity, preventing thorough removal of foundation. Skincare begins with makeup removal—if this step is inadequate, subsequent skincare efforts will be wasted.
