First, let's DIY an oatmeal face mask. Prepare the following materials and tools: one packet of oats—pure oats only, not processed varieties containing added sugar or milk powder like Nestlé's oatmeal. While tasty, it's unsuitable for masks. I use no-cook oats.
You'll also need a container and a mixing utensil. I avoid plastic because I find it emits an unpleasant odor when heated and isn't very healthy. Glass or ceramic works well—I use glass.
Optionally, add essential oils or hyaluronic acid according to your preferences.

Pour out an appropriate amount of oats—not too much. The quantity shown in my picture is enough for your face and neck. Just a reminder: use plain oatmeal here—the original kind without any special processing. Avoid varieties with added milk, sugar, or nuts.............................................................

Add hot water—at least 80°C (176°F). I use no-cook oats, so hot water suffices. If using regular oats, boil them briefly first. However, I've tested that even non-no-cook oats work well when steeped in boiling water for a while.
The water in the photo is a bit low. Oats absorb water heavily, so ensure the water fully covers them. Avoid adding too much water at once. If it seems insufficient during preparation, you can add boiling water later. However, if you add too much water initially, it becomes difficult to adjust and may not spread evenly during application.

Stir while soaking. After a few minutes, once it reaches this consistency, it's basically ready to use. The time depends on your water temperature.

At this stage, you can also add your favorite essential oils. For example, add a few drops of lavender before bed to aid sleep, a few drops of lemon for brightening effects, or two drops of rose to promote blood circulation... Or add a few drops of hyaluronic acid serum to enhance hydration. There are many options to explore.Friends, let your creativity run wild—see what novel ingredients you can discover! Alright, your homemade brightening and nourishing oatmeal mask is now complete! Let me test it on my own hands—I added a bit too little water this time, so it looks extra thick. You might want to add a little more water based on this consistency.Quick reminder: When applying the mask, lying flat is best. If you apply it while standing upright, the heavy oatmeal mask will pull your skin downward with gravity, potentially causing wrinkles—not worth the risk!~~

First off, no Photoshop here! Check out the results of my DIY safe, brightening, and nourishing oatmeal mask. Since I used too little water, I rinsed it off after just 5 minutes. See that white ring on my paw?The instant effect is super noticeable. I tried leaving it on for 10 minutes—my face was so white! Unfortunately, it faded back to normal after a while. But with consistent use, your skin texture really improves. Plus, you can add your favorite essential oils to boost the results.
