The Dangers of Squeezing Blackheads

Squeezing blackheads can cause skin inflammation.
People usually use their fingernails to squeeze them, but who knows if their nails are clean? If they're not, it could easily lead to infection. Plucking blackheads is a better option—specifically using blackhead strips.
Popping blackheads can enlarge pores.
This occurs because blackheads are deeply embedded within pores. Forcing them out not only loosens the pores but may also damage surrounding dermal tissue. Frequent extraction risks permanent damage to the follicle area, leading to permanently enlarged, sagging pores—a condition that becomes extremely difficult to reverse.
