For many, "terrible kids" are a terrifying presence whose destructive power makes people keep their distance. So why are there more and more of these children today?
In truth, many "terrible kids" are the result of excessive parental indulgence. Young age and immaturity cannot excuse such behavior. Overindulgence warps a child's character, manifesting as a form of spoiled syndrome.
When adults spoil, overprotect, or indulge children excessively, it can lead to psychological deformities and various physical and mental disorders. These children typically exhibit selfishness, timidity, antisocial tendencies, and a desire to dominate. The "little monsters" we see in the news often share these characteristics.
To reduce the prevalence of "spoiled brats," the solution must start with parents. Only when parents recognize their mistakes and alter their parenting approach can children receive proper guidance.Parents must fully grasp the psychological harm caused by excessive indulgence and its detrimental long-term effects. They should abandon permissive parenting methods and never turn a blind eye to their child's shortcomings. Instead, they must firmly demand and assist in correcting these flaws. Over time, negative behaviors will diminish. Through proper parental guidance, children will gradually understand appropriate conduct, shed bad habits, and develop a healthier mindset.
Therefore, to educate a "problem child," one must first educate their parents. Parents are a child's first teachers. The saying "If a child is not taught, it is the father's fault" is a principle every parent must grasp. To ensure children grow up healthily and avoid becoming universally disliked "problem children," parents must prioritize their children's character education.
