Li Shizhen recorded in Compendium of Materia Medica: "Aloe vera is a medicine for the liver meridian, specializing in killing parasites and clearing heat."Modern pharmacological research confirms that fresh aloe vera possesses antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.
Mosquito bites and skin itching: Take one aloe leaf, wash it thoroughly, remove the spines, split it lengthwise, and apply the gel directly to the affected area.

Hypertension: Take an appropriate amount of aloe vera leaves, wash them, remove the spines, and cut them into thin strips. Take 15 grams each time, 4 times daily, dissolved in warm water. Effects are generally noticeable within 2-3 days.
Gastric and Duodenal Ulcers: Take an appropriate amount of aloe vera leaves, wash them, mash them, add an equal amount of white wine and one-third the volume of honey. Mix well and let sit for 15 days. Strain to obtain the juice. Take one shot glass three times daily.
Constipation: Take an appropriate amount of aloe vera leaves, wash and mash them. Take 15 grams three times daily before meals with warm water. Alternatively, take 5 grams of aloe vera leaves and 30 grams of honey before bed each night, dissolved in warm water.
Burns and Scalds:Select aloe leaves based on burn area. Wash, peel, and extract gel. Apply to cleaned, disinfected burn site. Cover with sterile gauze and secure with adhesive tape. Change dressing every 1-3 hours initially. Pain typically subsides after 1-2 applications. Continue dressing changes 2-3 times daily. Heals in 2-8 days without scarring.
Boils: Clean the affected area with medicated soap. Cut a piece of aloe vera using a sterilized knife according to the size of the boil. Apply it to the affected area and secure with medical tape. Change the dressing 2-3 times daily. The boil will typically subside within 3-5 days.
Recurrent Oral Ulcers: Wash and dry an aloe leaf, grind into powder, and apply to the ulcerated area 4–6 times daily. Typically heals within 5–10 days.
Athlete's Foot: Soak aloe in white wine until its color changes from green to yellow. Apply the wine solution to the affected area several times daily.
Acne: Mix an appropriate amount of aloe juice into your daily moisturizer or cream. Apply to affected areas 1-3 times daily.
Freckles: Boil 30–50 grams of aloe vera leaves in water. Apply the clarified liquid after sedimentation to affected areas.
Important Note: Avoid use if experiencing gum inflammation due to deficiency-heat patterns, weak constitution, spleen-stomach deficiency-cold (loose stools, poor appetite, fatigue), menstruation, pregnancy, or hemorrhoidal bleeding. Before use, perform a patch test with a small amount. If mild rash or itching occurs, rinse with warm water and dilute fresh aloe leaf juice with cold boiled water before reapplication. Discontinue use if severe allergic reactions like redness, swelling, or stinging develop.
