Lasers are highly effective in skin aesthetics. What conditions do they address for spot and mole removal? Read on. 1. Melasma. Brown patches that gradually increase after age 25, often appearing symmetrically on both cheeks. Their color resembles cooked liver, hence the name "liver spots," though they are unrelated to liver disease.
2. Nevus of Ota. Typically manifests as grayish-blue mottled patches on the upper half of one side of the face, sometimes extending to the sclera of the eyes. Pigmentation penetrates deep into the dermis.
3. Senile Lentigines. Multiple to dozens of waxy, rough brown spots or papules that gradually increase in number and size, commonly appearing on sun-exposed areas like the face and hands.

5. Café-au-lait spots. These irregular, light brown patches are usually present at birth.
6. Tattoos and Eyebrow Tattoos. Artificial pigments implanted into the dermis, or foreign objects like pencil lead or iron filings entering the skin due to injury.
7. Freckles. Small brown spots ranging from pinhead to rice grain size, scattered across the cheeks and bridge of the nose. Usually present since childhood and persistent.
8. Nevi. Most appear gradually after puberty, ranging from a few to dozens of flat or raised brown or black spots, pinhead to rice grain in size.
9. Malar nevus. Gradually appearing after puberty, these are clusters of grayish-blue spots, pinhead to rice grain in size, located on both cheekbones or below the outer corners of the eyes.
