On August 10, 2014, the Cross-Strait Injection Aesthetics Technology Symposium and Clinical Application Training Course for Hyaluronic Acid Injections was grandly held at Guangdong Provincial Second People's Hospital.Nearly 100 leading experts in injectable aesthetics from both sides of the Taiwan Strait attended, including Professors Luo Shengkang, Huang Yaolin, and Yu Li. The symposium delved into critical aspects of injectable aesthetics—aesthetic design principles, facial anatomical layers, standardized injection techniques, and complication management—standardizing industry practices, elevating technical proficiency, and establishing a regulated, safe environment for beauty seekers.
The conference featured China's largest and most influential clinical training program for injectable hyaluronic acid. Live broadcasts from the main venue in Guangzhou were transmitted via dedicated telecommunication lines to satellite venues in Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, and other locations, enabling seamless large-scale hands-on training across five regions on both sides of the Taiwan Strait.

Standardized injection aesthetics ensure safety
Professor Luo Shengkang, nationally renowned medical aesthetic expert, Chair of the Guangdong Medical Association's Medical Aesthetics Branch, and Director of the Plastic Surgery and Laser Center at Guangdong Provincial Second People's Hospital, noted that the rapid increase in aesthetic seekers has created a shortage of professional injection aestheticians. To provide better services, injecting physicians must enhance their injection techniques, understand the properties of injectable materials, and skillfully select appropriate materials for different indications and needs while administering them to optimal sites. The conference aimed to cultivate more professional injecting physicians by inviting internationally renowned experts for mutual exchange, discussion, and hands-on demonstrations. This initiative addresses the growing demand for aesthetic treatments and ensures a safer environment for beauty seekers.Professor Luo Shengkang emphasized that injectable aesthetics is safe when performed by qualified, experienced physicians who undergo standardized training at institutions like the Second Provincial People's Hospital and use approved medications with precise injection techniques.

Personalized Design for Oriental Beauty
It is understood that aside from failures caused by substandard materials or non-compliant procedures, most unsatisfactory injectable outcomes stem from inadequate physician technique and crude aesthetic design. Professor Luo pointed out that achieving ideal results requires practitioners to possess both exceptional technical proficiency and strong aesthetic sensibilities.
At this conference, Professor Luo shared his insights and experience in injectable aesthetics—creating personalized holistic facial designs for Oriental beauty. This involves pre-procedure consultations to understand patient needs, followed by multidimensional design based on the facial characteristics and aesthetic standards of the Oriental ethnicity. The face is divided into multiple zones according to the golden T-zone, and precise injections are administered to achieve remarkable Oriental beauty.
Precision Injection Sets Industry Benchmarks
The core of precision injection lies in selecting appropriate injection layers, administering optimal doses, and determining precise injection points. Accuracy requires thorough familiarity with facial anatomical layers and accurate assessment of the patient's facial condition. The outcomes of injectable aesthetics are closely tied to both facial anatomy and the practitioner's experience.Professor Huang Yaolin from Taiwan, who has participated in the conference twice, stated: "Professor Luo Shengkang is China's most authoritative expert in injectable aesthetics. The expert team he leads at Guangdong Provincial Second People's Hospital is exceptionally strong. Their masterful injection techniques and aesthetic design keep pace with international standards, offering immense value. I am deeply honored to participate in this conference."
Live Demonstrations Make a National Impact
The Plastic Surgery and Laser Center at Guangdong Provincial Second People's Hospital is a leader in medical aesthetic plastic surgery in Guangdong Province and serves as a clinical training base for Restylane hyaluronic acid injections, setting industry standards nationwide. This symposium upheld the tradition of "integrating theory with practice," where authoritative experts not only shared clinical experience and theory but also performed live injections on volunteer models.Based on the facial concerns identified in volunteer models, experts provided detailed analyses covering aesthetic design approaches, injection techniques, and layer-specific precautions. This hands-on approach enabled attendees to intuitively grasp injection methodologies, enhance their skills, better serve patients, and ultimately advance the industry's healthy, standardized development.
For the first time, the conference was broadcast nationwide. Alongside nearly 100 industry experts at the main venue, specialists in Beijing, Shanghai, and Chengdu branch venues could also observe the insightful presentations by experts from both sides of the Taiwan Strait. Conference Chair Professor Luo Shengkang stated, "As leaders in the medical aesthetic industry, we have an obligation to contribute to creating a safe environment for beauty seekers. We strive to leverage modern technology to engage more peers, collectively working towards a safer and more orderly environment for those pursuing beauty."
