Sweet Potato Weight Loss Recipe 1: Barley and Sweet Potato Soup
Ingredients: 250g fresh sweet potato, 100g barley.
Method:
1. Soak a small bowl of barley overnight. Barley husks are tough, requiring extended soaking time;
2. Place soaked barley in a pressure cooker. You can also steam it first before cooking. Pressure cooking is faster, but add plenty of water. Cook on high heat for 20 minutes;
3. Once boiling, add sweet potato chunks. Cook for just 3-5 minutes;
4. Add a suitable amount of rock sugar before serving. The sweet aroma of barley will fill the air when it's ready.
Sweet Potato Weight Loss Recipe 2: Sweet Potato Porridge
Ingredients: 250g fresh sweet potatoes, 100g rice.
Method: Wash sweet potatoes (preferably red-skinned with yellow flesh), cut into small chunks with skin on. Simmer with rice in water until porridge-like consistency.

Ingredients: 1 pound sweet potato, 1/4 onion (thinly sliced), 400ml broth, 100ml milk, 1/2 tbsp oil, salt and pepper to taste, black sesame seeds as desired.
Instructions:
1. Peel sweet potatoes, cut into 3cm-long strips, and soak in water.
3. Pour in broth and simmer over low-medium heat. Once sweet potatoes soften, remove a small portion for garnish. Mash remaining sweet potatoes in a bowl, then stir in milk, salt, and pepper.
4. Transfer to serving dish, top with reserved sweet potato garnish and black sesame seeds.

Ingredients: 500g sweet potatoes, 25g lard.
Method:
1. Select red-fleshed sweet potatoes, wash, peel, and steam or boil until tender. Mash thoroughly.
2.Heat oil in a wok, add sweet potato mash, stir-fry until moisture nearly evaporates. Add more oil and continue stir-frying until mash resembles caviar-like grains. Quickly toss to combine and serve.
